About Me

Hi, I'm Payton, and I am a New York-based actor. I'm originally from Cincinnati, Ohio, (The Queen City as they call it, and I'd have to agree). I grew up attempting all different kinds of activities: youth choirs, acrobatics, soccer, before finally auditioning for High School Musical in junior high. If I can pull Sharpay off with braces back then, imagine what I can do now.

I graduated in May with my BFA in Musical Theater at the Boston Conservatory at Berklee. At BoCo, I had the opportunity to perform in productions such as Cinderella, Something Rotten, City of Angels, and several student-directed plays. My favorite moment was playing the titular Cinderella, conceptualized as though the entire thing was in an attic. Live Love Boco. 

Beyond performing, I do yoga every day to keep me sane. I love to write music and am always planning my next travel adventure. Right now... it's a 10-day backpacking trip to Peru. Since moving to New York, I have also begun my chef journey (eating Cinnamon Toast Crunch in a mug as we speak). 

Though I proudly carry my Midwestern roots, I’ve developed a love for New England, especially in the beautiful summer months. While still in school, I've had the opportunity to work and perform at Maine State Music Theatre, Prescott Park Arts Festival, and, just recently,  I finished up playing Patty Simcox in Grease at Theatre by the Sea in Rhode Island. I'm settling into living in NYC now, working at a hot yoga studio while I audition. My next goal is to stop spending $25 every time I leave my apartment.
